Fire of God

The centerpiece. God Himself declared in Jeremiah 7:31, 19:5, and 32:35 that burning His children endlessly never entered His heart. So what is divine fire? Traces fire as God’s Word (Jeremiah 23:29), as refining (Malachi 3:2-3, Isaiah 1:25, Psalm 12:6), as jealousy and love (Song of Songs 8:6-7, Zephaniah 3:8-9), and as salting everyone (Mark 9:49). Fire in Scripture purifies; it does not annihilate.
